Digitisation of Art

James Bridle speaks of a new aesthetic very related to what I’m about to do – the new aesthetic of the ghosts of technology in visual art. Pixelated mannequins by Lanvin to glitch art on CD covers – the culture of digitisation of art is a very strange space. A similar discussion happens in Berg – an interesting take on glitch art would perhaps to recreate a glitch in a photograph in reality.

Interesting discussion on reality and technology-mediated reality, or rather, more importantly, the space that falls between. Perhaps an aim of my project should be to capture that space.

More discussion on the New Aesthetic that sparked so much conversation.
